In 2014, solo practitioners James V. Anthenelli and John K. Phoebus joined former State’s Attorney Kristy M. Hickman to create Anthenelli, Phoebus & Hickman, LLC. Our goal is to provide our clients with the high-quality legal representation they need in order to be successful, both inside and outside of the courtroom. James V. Anthenelli was a former assistant state’s attorney with more than 38 years of experience. His practice concentrated in the area of criminal defense. John K. Phoebus has been in private practice for more than 20 years and has focused on litigation, including high-profile criminal defense cases and civil litigation. Joining the merger of these two firms is former State’s Attorney Kristy M. Hickman who brings with her the experience of having won all 16 murder trials she prosecuted during her time as State’s Attorney for Somerset County.
